Eleven students were introduced to the basics of banking when they participated in the Guyana Bank for Trade and Industry Limited’s first work-study programme, which lasted from July 11 until August 19, 2022.
The students were from the Pure Master’s Academy and Covent Garden Secondary School.
In a press release, the bank said the students were grateful for their experience and said that it taught them discipline and how to operate in a professional working environment. Some of them expressed an interest in wanting to work for the bank.
