An armed robbery suspect was yesterday found in a suitcase under his parents’ bed at Kuru Kururu and a further search found a camouflage bulletproof vest.
In a statement last night, the police said that acting on information received a party of police ranks conducted a cordon and search exercise at Kuru Kururu Village, Soesdyke/Linden Highway between Wednesday night and yesterday morning and several houses were searched for suspects involved in a spate of robberies which occurred between 2022-08-20 to 2022-08-23.
At the home of one of the suspects at Kuru Kururu sandpit, one Guyana Defence Force (GDF) camouflage shirt was found in a haversack and when asked the suspect claimed that he got if from a relative.
