CANU arrests `Zipper’, son over possession of cocaine

A father and son were on Friday arrested after they were busted by the Customs Anti Narcotic Unit (CANU) with a quantity of suspected lidocaine and cocaine.

Lidocaine (aka lignocaine) is a local anaesthetic commonly used to dilute cocaine.

The suspects were identified as 61-year-old Andre Gomes, also called ‘Zipper’, and Mark Gomes, 38, both of Craig Street, Campbellville.
