The town of Rose Hall, Berbice is bracing for an invasion of the country’s top youth Simon Pures, this Saturday when the Guyana Boxing Association under President Steve Ninvalle will take the fistic sport to the Ancient County.
According to Ninvalle, a former vice President of AIBA, the move is in keeping with President Irfaan Ali’s theme of ‘One Guyana’, hence the decision by the GBA top brass to decentralize the sport.
Ninvalle said the tournament will cater for youths under 16 years of age.
