Haslington woman charged with trafficking after cocaine found in Shirley biscuit wrappers

Unique Sunshine London, the Haslington woman who allegedly tried to smuggle almost 25 pounds of cocaine concealed in biscuit wrappers onto a United States-bound flight, was charged with trafficking in narcotics on Friday.

The Guyana Police Force said London, 59, of Lot 54 Haslington, East Coast Demerara, charged with trafficking 11.188 kilogrammes of cocaine at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport (CJIA), Timehri.

London appeared before Magistrate Sunil Scarce at the Grove/Diamond Magistrates’ Court on Friday and pleaded not guilty to the charge. Bail was refused and she was remanded to prison until November 11, 2022.
