A Canada-based Guyanese was yesterday remanded to prison on a charge of break and enter and larceny after a court heard that the police were afraid he would flee the country.
Kurt Savory, 56, whose address was given as Lot 367 Mango Lane, East Ruimveldt, was hauled before the Georgetown court of Principal Magistrate Sherdel Isaacs-Marcus, who read the charge to him. The man told the magistrate he had only made a joke about leaving the country.
