A new $10.5 million health centre was commissioned at Number 7 Village, West Coast Berbice last Wednesday.
The health centre will serve residents of the village and surrounding communities.
According to a Depart-ment of Public Information (DPI) report, Regional Health Officer Dr Desmond Nicholson said the new facility will eliminate the cost and lengthy travel to the other health facilities faced by residents of the areas.
