Car goes up in flames on Corentyne road:

A car caught afire during the wee hours of yesterday morning along the Corentyne road which leads into the Black Bush Polder and was destroyed, leaving the owner with a multi-million-dollar loss. According to the Region Six Divisional Fire Officer Clive McDonald, the fire was reported just around 01:00 hrs. He identified the car to be a sports model Mazda, which was owned by Gaffoor (only name given) of Good Hope, East Coast Demerara. Mc Donald noted that after the fire was reported the Rose Hall Town fire station responded. However, the fire spread quickly and the car could not be saved. The fire service identified a faulty electrical wire as being responsible for the fire after it sparked and ignited flammable vapors.”
