St Clair wants to make Guyana the `Las Vegas of boxing’

Australian based Gairy St. Clair is currently in Guyana making the rounds and pulling out the stops in order to stage a mega year-end Pro/Am card. He got the green light from the boxing board headed by Peter Abdool (centre) yesterday to host the event on December 16.

Gairy ‘Superman’ St Clair, the former IBF world junior-lightweight champion, is on a mission to make Guyana the `Las Vegas of Boxing’ in the Region in the near future.

The Australian based St. Clair is currently here making the rounds and pulling out the stops in order to stage a mega year-end Pro/Am card, the first of many since he hopes to give the sport a shot in the arm and make boxing cards a regular feature in the 592.

According to St Clair, a December 16 event is on the cards after the boxing board signed on to be in his corner yesterday.
