Nkosie Barker struck an unbeaten 70 to give Malteenoes victory

Malteenoes cricket club defeated 4R Lions by three wickets while Sophia brushed aside Ace Warriors by four wickets as the Georgetown Cricket Association/Atlantic Marine Supplies Incorporated Suzuki Motorcycles second-division T20 tournament continued yesterday.

At Malteenoes, Lions won the toss and opted to bat where they posted 140 for nine before the hosts reached 141 for seven with two balls to spare.

Marcus Watkins (2-15) removed Kevin Kisten and Rampertab Ramnauth in the fourth over to leave Lions 15-2. With extras accounting for the most runs towards the target with 29, Salim Khan and Ronaldo Scouten both struck 21 runs. Tomani Caesar (19), Romeo Deonarain (15) and Richard Dowlatram (14) were the only other batsmen to reach double figures.
