A source within the Health Services in Region Six informed Stabroek News yesterday that the driver of the ambulance found with chicken earlier this month in the Upper Corentyne Area has been fired.
Following the discovery of the chicken, Regional Health Officer, Dr. Vishalya Sharma said that an internal investigation was launched. However, the source yesterday said that while the driver was fired by the health department, no charges have yet been filed in the matter by any law agency.
