Phillip Solomon has been sentenced to 10 years behind bars for the 2018 fatal beating of his friend Vernon Cummings, at the Timehri Wharf.
The sentence was handed down on Tuesday morning by Justice Brassington Reynolds at the High Court in Demerara.
The Judge has ordered that deductions be made for the time Solomon spent on remand awaiting trial.
