Guyana makes big jump in gender gap index

Guyana has made significant progress in reducing the gender gap in politics, education, health and economics, according to the 2022 Global Gender Gap Index.

Guyana was previously placed at the 53rd position of 146 countries. According to the latest report, Guyana is now ranked at 35.  This is based on an analysis of countries’ national gender gaps on economic, political, education and health matters.
