Man charged with stealing car after joyride ends in crash

A man has been remanded to prison after being charged with stealing a car and going on a joyride that ended when he reportedly crashed it.

The charge which was brought against the defendant, Isaacs Greaves (age and address not provided) on Friday, alleges that on October 30, at Freeman Street, Georgetown, he stole a Toyota Premio, which bears registration number HC 7776 and is valued $3.9 million. The car is the property of Craig Jacobus.

Greaves pleaded not guilty to the charge, which was read to him be Senior Magistrate Leron Daly in Georgetown.
