A Bloomfield, Corentyne woman is now dead after she reportedly succumbed to chop injuries sustained sometime around Sunday evening during a fight with her husband after she accused him of being unfaithful to her.
Dead is Oma Davi Virasamy, 30, a housewife of Lot 171 Bloomfield, New Housing Scheme, Corentyne. Her husband, Mahendra Paltoo, 35 years, a labourer, of the same address was arrested for questioning.
According to information gathered, Paltoo initially claimed that on Sunday evening the deceased was making up the bed for their baby when she slipped and fell on a cutlass that was between two mattresses in their bedroom.
