Craig man held after car stolen from auto body workshop

The Guyana Police Force yesterday said that it has arrested a 22-year-old man after he was found with both the keys and a car that was reportedly stolen from an auto body workshop at Grove, East Bank Demerara (EBD).

The man has been identified as Christopher Persaud of Craig, EBD.

The incident occurred between Tuesday at 6:30 pm and 8 am on Wednesday. According to preliminary investigations, the grey Primo car bearing registration number PSS 6964 was dropped off at the workshop of Rameshwar Dehali at Lot 6 Tank Street, Grove Squatting area around 1:30 pm on Tuesday. The vehicle was supposed to have its back bumper sprayed.
