Elton Dharry’s next fight will be for the British Commonwealth Super Flyweight title on local shores

So says the prized pugilist who headlined the last mega boxing event which was held at the National Stadium in April.

Dharry told Stabroek Sport on Wednesday that negotiations are ongoing with the boxing board, the Ministry of Sport, and other sponsors, to make the fight a reality either on Boxing Day or early January.

The orthodox fighter is the mandatory challenger to England’s Prince Patel’s belt and he is eager to put on a show once again in front of the local fans after unanimously defeating a game Orlando Penalba for the vacant WBC super-flyweight International title seven months ago.
