The Petra Organization yesterday presented the group stage prize money to the respective 12 teams in the MVP Sports Futsal Championship at the National Gymnasium, Mandela Avenue, Georgetown.
The prizes varied from $50,000 to $10,000 and were based on the teams’ final placement following the conclusion of the round-robin stage. Group winners Gold is Money, Stabroek Ballers, and Back Circle, were each presented with $50,000, while second place finishers Bent Street, Future Stars, and Campbellville, received $40,000 apiece.
On the other hand, Sparta Boss, Tiger Bay and Sophia walked away with $20,000 respectively, while cellar occupants Team Cruel, Mocha, and Vengy pocketed $10,000 each.
