Regal Masters and Legends teams walked away champions in their respective Over-40 and Over-50 divisions while Guyana Knight Riders Ariel won the Open Category and 4R Lioness carted off with the spoils in the female division on Sunday in the Georgetown Softball Cricket League’s sixth Prime Minister’s T20 Cup.
At the National Stadium, Providence, in the most senior category, the Over-50 Legends division, Regal secured a two-wicket win over New York Softball Cricket League (NYSCL). Batting first, NYSCL piled up 146 for seven in their 20 overs with Nandlall Doodnauth hitting 32. Ken Sanichar (22) Troy Fernandes (19) and Ravi Sahadeo (19) also made vital contributions. Wayne Jones bagged 3-35 for Regal.
