Three Guyanese picked for ITEC studies in India

Three Guyanese have been selected to travel to India to study under its Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) Scholarship programme.

According to a release from the High Commission of India, Michael Simon, a Guyana Defence Force staff sergeant, will be attending the ACS Centre & College in Bangalore, India where he’ll be studying ASC NCOs MT and Leadership for a period of two months; Rene Hamilton, an engineer at Guyana Geology and Mines Commission, will be studying Petroleum Refining Technology and Petrochemicals at India Institute of Petroleum; and Greganne Garnett, of Guyana Energy Agency, will be studying Advanced Communication Skills at the Times Professional Learning for approximately one month.
