Amid a surge of COVID-19 cases, two East Berbice-Corentyne men have succumbed to the virus.
In a statement today, the ministry said that the men, 96 and 43, succumbed yesterday. These two deaths come after weeks of no fatalities and vastly reduced cases.
The COVID death toll is now at 1283.
