Man broke into Alberttown sports bar, stole beverages – court told

A father of two was remanded to prison after he was charged with breaking into a sports bar and stealing beverages.

The accused, 34-year-old Kurt Singh of Lot 143 Fifth Street, Alberttown, George-town, made his appearance on Wednesday before Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court where the charge was read to him.

It is alleged that on October 28 at Fifth Street,  Alberttown, while being in the company of others, Singh broke and entered the business place of Tony Ramcharran and stole one LG 65-inch television valued at $300,000, four cases of Magnum worth $34,000, four cases of XL worth $16,000, six cases of Rude Boy valued $60,000, two cases of Smirnoff vodka valued $17,400, four bottles of Cîroc vodka worth $14,000, twelve bottles of Absolute vodka valued at $102,000, six bottles Hennessy cognac worth $36,000, twenty-three small bottles of rum worth $46,000, and seventy-nine packets of cigarettes worth 24,840.
