Two arrested in Berbice over Laing Avenue killing

Police ranks in Region Six on Monday arrested two persons – including a 16-year-old boy –  who were wanted in connection with the murder of Dexter Mc Farlane who was  caught in a crossfire as two groups shot  at each other on Laing Avenue, West Ruimveldt, Georgetown on Friday.

Commander of Region Six, Shivpersaud Bacchus yesterday confirmed, that an intelligence-led operation resulted in the arrest of the duo at Number 53 Village Corentyne on Monday at about 16:00 hours and 17:45 hours.

The suspects, Shemroy Patterson, 23, a security of guard of Lot 164 Castello Housing Scheme, Linden, and a 16-year-old of Albouystown have since been handed over to investigators handling the matter.
