Ministry driver free on station bail after Logwood fatal accident

Denzil McBean, a driver attached to the Ministry of Public Works, has been released on $100,000 station bail after he stuck down and killed a 44-year-old cyclist of Logwood Squatting Area, Enmore, East Coast Demerara (ECD)  last Saturday.

Anil Ramanand, 44, of Logwood Squatting Area, Enmore, East Coast Demerara, died as a result of the accident. 

In an interview with Stabroek News on Friday, Ramanand’s common-law wife Indira Persaud said, “When me husband dead, the minister come and seh he go come back de next day. He never come. Never.”
