Consumer Affairs body recognises outstanding businesses, rights activist

The Competition and Consumer Affairs Commission (CCAC) on Friday evening awarded five outstanding businesses and a consumer rights advocate for compliance with the Consumer Affairs Act at its Inaugural Compliance Award Ceremony.

The awardees were selected from 20 applicants across various business and consumer advocate categories.

In a statement, the CCAC said the specific awards focused on warranties, refund and return policies, issuing necessary receipts, continuous advocacy for consumer rights, and overall compliance with all aspects of the Consumer Affairs Act.
