Parika labourer dies after falling from cashew tree

Colbert Rawlston Rogers

A 54-year-old labourer of Parika, East Bank Esse-quibo died after he fell while picking cashews from the slippery tree in his yard on Saturday morning.

Colbert Rawlston Rogers was found lying on his side between two cashew trees in a semi-crouched position with his face towards the galvanised sheets fence.

Relatives believe that he sustained injuries to his head from another piece of zinc that was braced on the fence. Small spots of blood were seen on the sheet.
