A fire officer is now in police custody after she struck a motorcycle yesterday along the Cumberland Public Road leaving a two-year-old dead and several others injured. Dead is Jasmine Ross, 2, of Angoy’s Avenue, New Amsterdam.
The accident involved a firewoman, 28, stationed at the New Amsterdam Fire Station who was driving motor car PGG 278 with occupants Shaniya McLeod, 8, Shavine Laundry, 11, Shaveh Laundry, 10 and Javeer Blair, 5.
The driver reportedly struck motorcycle MR-1 which was being ridden by Marley Ross, 29, with the now deceased 2-year-old as the pillion rider.
