Riverstown family robbed by cutlass-wielding bandits

A 19-year-old is now in police custody after he and another allegedly stole over $300,000 in electronic appliances and cash from a Riverstown family.

All the items and cash were later recovered.

According to the police in Regional Division #2, they are investigating a robbery under arms which occurred on Friday in which a cutlass was used. The victims were a family from Riverstown on the Essequibo Coast and they were relieved of number of household items plus cash.
