GCF looking to end 2022 on a high

The Guyana Chess Federation will be looking to end 2023 on a high.

The Guyana Chess Federation (GCF) will look to end the 2022 season on a high with two rapid tournaments.

Each tournament will be a one-day fixture with nine rounds of 10-minute action and a one-second increment after each move.

The junior tournament is booked for the last day of the year and open to players born after January 1, 2022 with cash prizes set for the top three finishers and best female player. The first place finisher will walk away $30,000 richer while second place will settle for $20,000. Third place and the best female player will each cart off  $10,000. Players desiring of entering the competition will have to pay $1000 registration fee.
