Mechanic shot three times in front of Outside Bar after he allegedly fired rounds

A 30-year-old mechanic was shot three times and a security guard suffered lacerations to his face during an argument over parking in front of the Outside Bar at MovieTowne, Turkeyen during the wee hours of Sunday.

The injured mechanic been identified as Olofi DeSantos of Bagotstown, East Bank Demerara. He was shot in his abdomen, chest and left hand during the incident which occurred around 4.30 am.

But before this, security guard Sheldon Adams was struck in his face with a Hennessy bottle. Reports are that DeSantos was in the company of two brothers: Errol Baptiste, a businessman and 29-year-old Erron Baptiste, who are both licensed firearm holders of Campbellville, Georgetown. They arrived at the bar in a Crown motorcar, driven by one of the Baptiste brothers.
