The PPP/C Government has awarded 41 contracts to construct rigid pavement concrete roads on the Essequibo River island of Wakenaam.
Speaking to residents and contractors on the island on Friday, Deodat Indar, Minister within the Ministry of Public Works noted that the projects are a commitment of President Irfaan Ali.
According to a release from the Ministry, the majority of the projects cater for the strengthening of the internal road network on the Essequibo island. It also includes the construction of some of the island’s perimeter roads.
