A stellar 2022 for ‘Dynamite’ Desmond Amsterdam culminated in remarkable fashion yesterday as the standout boxers won another bout, this time outside of the ring, securing the Guyana Boxing Association’s (GBA) most prestigious honour, the ‘Boxer of Year’ accolade.
According to a release, Amsterdam was selected as the 2022 Boxer of the Year by the local governing body following a thorough process, which saw coaches and members of the executive analyzing the local and international exploits of the respective hopefuls.
