Essequibo wicketkeeper/batsman, Kemol Savory, yesterday sent a sound message to the national selectors who witnessed him rampage to 170 on day two of the first Guyana Harpy Eagles practice match yesterday.
At the National Stadium, Providence, Savory’s special saw Chanderpaul’s XI reach 378 for six from 87 overs at the close of play after resuming on three without loss, establishing a lead of 117 runs over Veerasammy Permaul’s XI.
The left-hander brought out all the shots especially sweeps and drives as he pummelled five sixes and 17 fours during his 192-ball ordeal. His near six-hour stay at the crease saw him sharing in several critical partnerships.
