The Ministry of Public Works yesterday began breaking concrete bridges along Sandy Babb Street, Kitty, Georgetown, from Vlissen-gen Road to Middleton Street to improve drainage in the area.
According to the Ministry, the concrete bridges that were built by the residents were blocking the flow of water in the drains, and as a result a section of the street kept flooding.
