CNOOC Petroleum makes $10m grant to UG for student assistance

CNOOC Petroleum Guyana Limited (CPGL) yesterday presented  $10 million to the University of Guyana (UG) to support education for primarily Indigenous and other students needing assistance, a release from the company yesterday stated.  The gift will provide support for at least three undergraduate scholars for 5 years each, it added.

The grant will be administered by UG and caters for scholarships in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics and Medicine.
