A 24-year-old Vreed-en-Hoop butcher who was charged with attempted murder was yesterday remanded to prison.
Omesh Ramdan of Vreed-en-Hoop Squatting Area, West Bank Demerara (WBD) appeared in the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court before Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan who remanded him to prison until February 27th. The charge read that on January 27th at the Georgetown Ferry Stelling, Stabroek, Ramdan unlawfully and maliciously wounded David Pear with intent to murder him. He was not required to plead to the indictable charge.
