Transport Sports Club (TSC), Police Sports Club (PSC) and Georgetown Cricket Club (GCC) recorded their first wins of the 2023 season as the Georgetown Cricket Association (GCA) started the year with the Atlantic Marine Supplies Suzuki motorcycles second division T20 tournament over the weekend.
At the Queen’s College ground, Transport defeated Positive Foundation Agricola by 102 runs. After winning the toss and electing to bat first in the afternoon match up, Transport raced to 165 for five in 15-overs-a-side affair. Agricola struggled to 63 for eight in their turn at the crease. Transport were indebted to Shamal Angel who rocketed to 93 not out from 46 balls, hitting six fours and eight sixes, three of which came from a 23-run final over. Angel shared an unbeaten sixth wicket partnership of 59 with Rafael Singh (five) with 61 runs scored from the final three overs.
