A fire of unknown origin gutted a house at 2nd Street, Foulis, East Coast Demerara yesterday at about 17:20 hours.
One of the occupants, Balram Singh, who helped manage a family business, told Stabroek News that when the fire started, he was at the Shine Taxi Service base when his phone began ringing incessantly.
The taxi service is a family business that is located a few houses away from the one that was burnt.
