New Guyana Fire Service HQ almost complete

Construction of the new Guyana Fire Service (GFS) headquarters on Home Stretch Avenue in Georgetown is almost complete, according to the contractor, Mohamed’s Enterprise, during the Fire Chief (ag) Gregory Wickham’s site visit to assess the progress of works.

A GFS release yesterday informed that Wickham, along with engineers, contractors and other senior officers of the GFS, conducted a walkthrough exercise at the site of the new GFS headquarters currently under construction. Lead engineer, Parmesh Parsotam, told the visiting group said that building is 95 per cent completed and should be handed over by the end of the month.
