Rivers View, Beacons convincing in victory

Rivers View and Beacons secured convincing wins, when the Namilco U17 Boys Football League continued on Saturday evening at the Bartica Community Centre ground.

Rivers defeated Rising Stars 4-2. Jonathan Gouveia recorded a helmet trick. For the loser, David Benny and Cyle Timmerman scored one goal apiece.

Similarly, Beacons downed Mil Ballers 3-1. Brian Browne, Jayden Christian, and Joshua Joseph were on target for the victor. For the losers, Keron Nelson recorded a consolation goal.  

On Friday at the same venue, Potaro Strikers downed Wolves United 3-1.

Adrian Fordyce commenced the rout as he etched his name on the scorer’s sheet in the 12th minute. Reon Hall then made his presence felt, as he doubled the lead in the 35th minute. The outcome was effectively sealed, as Rondel Loncke found the back of the net in the 75th minute. For Wolves, Carlos Do Apera scored a consolation goal in the 88th minute.
