Ruckus on highway after piece of wood damages bus windscreen

The minibus that was struck

The Police say they are investigating an incident along the Soesdyke-Linden Highway near Splashmins yesterday where a piece of wood fell off of a truck and came into contact with the windscreen of a minibus, damaging it in the process.

No one was injured, but the incident resulted in a big confrontation between the two drivers, the police said.

It is alleged that a piece of 2×4 wood, approximately 25 feet in length, fell off of the truck and came into contact with the windscreen of a minibus. The truck driver is in police custody while the bus and passengers (all uninjured) are at the Highway Patrol Base.
