As of last weekend those vendors who were displaced by the inferno that destroyed the entire Parika Market Complex in February, have taken up their temporary spots along the road which was recently rehabilitated for them.
According to the Chairman of Region Three, Inshan Ayube, the placement of the vendors came as a result of a meeting he held on Saturday with the vendors and other officials.
He disclosed that so far, 15 vendors have been provided temporary spots at the road which runs alongside the destroyed market, while they are still working to rehabilitate another section in Parika to place another set of vendors who sell mainly food.
