Spain donates Pfizer vaccines

Guyana’s Ministry of Health was the recipient on Monday of a donation of Pfizer vaccines from the Government of Spain.

A release from the Ministry of Health said that the vaccines was received by Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Dr Narine Singh. The vaccines were sourced through the COVAX mechanism.

The Ministry of Health said that the donation comprised 4,800 doses of the paediatric Pfizer vaccine for administration to children between the ages of 5 and 11 and 8,640 doses for adults 18 years and over.
