Shaquan James and the Vergenoegen Boxing Gym earned the marquee accolades when the Guyana Boxing Association (GBA) staged its Pepsi/Mike Parris schoolboys/juniors championships at the Andrew ‘Sixhead’ Lewis Gym yesterday.
James, a standout from the Forgotten Youth Foundation (FYF) Gym, boxed his way to a first round stoppage of Garvel Hyman to earn the coveted best boxer award at the event.
