Coastguard officer, policeman for training in India

Two officers, one each from the Guyana Defence Force and the Guyana Police Force have been granted scholarships under the Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) programme.

 According to a release from the office of the Indian High Commission to Guyana the recipients are Lieutenant Neil McDonald of the GDF and Jermain Johnson of the Guyana Police Force. 

The release said Lieutenant Mc Donald of the Coast Guard will spend seven months completing the Long Navigation Course at the Navigation and Direction School, Naval Base Kochi Keraral.
