Michael Embrack, a 38-year-old man of East Canje, Berbice yesterday pleaded guilty to trafficking in narcotics and was jailed for a year. Embrack appeared before Magistrate Rabindranauth Singh and was charged with trafficking 33.3 lbs. (15.1 kg) of cannabis on 7th February, 2022. He pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 12 months imprisonment and fined $9m.
