A prison officer died in an accident at Loo Creek on Sunday evening.
Dead is Terrence Gordon who was attached to the Lusignan Prison. He was involved in an accident at the Loo Creek area on the Linden-Soesdyke Highway.
According to a Guyana Prison Service (GPS) release, Gordon was a passenger in a motorcar when one of the tires blew out. This is believed to have caused the driver to lose control as the vehicle veered off the highway and overturned.
