Solomon George, called ‘Georgie,’ is now awaiting sentencing after pleading guilty to the 2016 unlawful killing of tractor operator Rampersaud Rattan, who had been stabbed during an argument.
George was initially charged with murder, but at his arraignment earlier this week, pleaded to the lesser offence of manslaughter, admitting that on August 8th, 2016 at Sisters Village, West Bank Demerara, he unlawfully killed Rattan.
