Minister of Amerindian Affairs, Pauline Sukhai yesterday engaged families of those who perished in the Mahdia dormitory tragedy as well survivors from Micobie and El Paso in Region Eight.
Twenty children died after the fire at the girls dormitory in May and the government is yet to convene the promised commission of inquiry or explain why a year-old report that raised concerns about fire safety at the facility was not acted on.
