The organisers of the 15th Guyana Cup Horse Race Meet have given the assurance that there will be adequate parking and easier access to the venue when the event is held on August 13 at the Rising Sun Turf Club in West Berbice.

At last year’s event patrons were stranded and unable to access the Rising Sun Turf Club for hours but head of Jumbo Jet Thoroughbred Racing Committee Nasrudeen Mohamed told reporters at the Launch yesterday that work has started on a four lane access to the venue while there are preparations for parking of over 2000 vehicles.

He said there will also be additional seating in the venue for patrons and work has been ongoing to accommodate the usually large number of persons expected at the event.
